Are you tired of articles that perfectly list out the 10 steps you can take to become a self-made millionaire only to find out on step 10 that you actually have to work for it?

Fear not!

This article promises none of that!

However, this article is…

Part 1?

I told my mom earlier this week that my doctor had prescribed me medication for insomnia and anxiety.

I don’t know what other families are like, but telling a Chinese mother that her child has medication for a non-physical-health-related issue is like telling her that her child prefers forks over chopsticks.

Their brains cannot compute this because forks could never be superior to chopsticks just like how their child could never have any mental health problems. These are just the facts of life as they know it.

Knowing how stigmatized mental health is in Asian culture conjured up about fifty…

The shortcuts listed below are just some of the ones that I use in my personal, everyday life. If there are any that you know that you think would be useful, please feel free to comment them below, and I would gladly add them to this article!

NOTE: These keyboard shortcuts are designed for PC users, however, MAC users should be able to swap out the “Control (CTRL)” for “Command (CMD)” and “Alternate (ALT)” for “Option (OPT).”

Note: These shortcuts can mostly be used anywhere that you might have to type (MS Word, Google Docs, Medium, etc.).

And, I must say, it was a life-changing experience.

No, really. I did.

In September of 2016, I ran my first half marathon, ate shit, and got a medal. But, let me back up a bit.

May 2016

I was cramming for finals…except I wasn’t because I was procrastinating and doing online shopping — as one does when one has to learn a whole semester’s worth of materials in one night.

By the time I was in my second year of undergrad, retail therapy was basically a spiritual ritual I needed to perform before every exam. However, this time, instead of spending $60 on mediocre clothes, I figured, why not “invest”…

I didn’t have to go so hard on a cover letter, but I did.

Here are some tips to becoming a better writer.

But, first, a disclaimer.

These are tips on how to become a “better” writer, not a “good” writer, because hell if I know how to do that.

1: Like it — writing that is.

2. Write something that is worth re-reading.

3. Write what you think you know.

4. Do your research.

5. Write what you actually know.

6. Know the structure.

7. Break the structure.

8. Edit and re-write.

9. Write even when you don’t feel like it

That’s all. For those of you who have heard all of these…

It’s not just for solo travelers.

Notice I didn’t say “by yourself.”

I think this is what trips people up the most when they think of solo dining. We often think that if we go out to a restaurant by ourselves or if we go to the movies by ourselves, it means we are alone and have no friends which then could lead to varying degrees of social anxiety. I don’t think of it that way.

In fact, I LOVE doing things solo because when I’m not with someone else, I’m simply with myself.

Just a side character passing through…
